About the Artist

As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with things made of glass and stone. I used to collect polished stones and seashells when I was a little girl growing up in Alabama. When I discovered lampwork, I knew I had found my calling. It gave me a way to combine both my artistic and technical skills. Since I began lampworking in 2001, I have studied with Pacific Northwest glass bead artists including Larry Brickman, Kathy Perras, and Michael Barley. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to be a teaching assistant for Ofilia Cinta. I am an active member of the ISGB and an officer in our local chapter, the ORBS.

We live in one of the most spectacular areas of the country! My husband and I moved to Portland, Oregon in May of 2000 and haven't looked back. We love it here and can't imagine ever living anywhere else! There are so many glass artists and glass manufacturers in the area. It's the perfect place for me!

I am a stay at home mom to a sweet and very active little boy named Aiden (whose pics you will see will see often in my web journal). He is the joy of my life, but he sure does keep me busy. It's very challenging trying to juggle being a mom and having a business. Although, I wouldn't have it any other way. Working from home allows me to be around for him when ever he needs me and I strongly believe that is the absolute best thing for him. I thank God every single day for blessing me with such a wonderful little guy and giving me a way that I can be here for him.

About My Work

My beads are inspired by nature and are lovingly hand-wound in my Pacific Northwest studio from Italian Moretti (Effetre), Laucsha, or Bullseye glass. All are fully annealed overnight in a computer controlled kiln to ensure strength and durability. I take pride in the quality and uniqueness of my work. This insures that you will own your very own lasting one-of-a-kind work of art.

If you really are in love with a bead or one of my jewelry pieces that you see here or on Ebay, I encourage you purchase it, as I do not do special/custom orders at this time, and will very rarely make the same bead or jewelry piece more than once.
